Hotels in Miami offer amazing glimpses upon a locale nicknamed “The Magic City”. Known for its beaches, its art deco architecture, its shopping, its live music, its nightlife, its cuisine, its sporting events and its high energy, Miami is a place for both relaxation and adventure. Miami Beach and its southernmost section South Beach stretch for about 4 miles altogether. Nicknamed SoBe, South Beach is actually a neighborhood within Miami Beach, which boasts spectacular natural and people-watching views. Professional sports teams include the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, Florida Marlins and Florida Panthers. The University of Miami, about 7 miles southwest, is about a 20 minute drive from downtown. Miami Fashion Week occurs every spring, while Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami and Miami Swim Week are also popular events. Generally, Miami is a safe city for tourists, though neighborhoods to avoid include Overtown, Model City, Little Haiti and Allapattah. The Magic City indeed is a place to get excited about. Before we get you to hotels in Miami, let’s take a look at some background information on the area to help you along the way.
For 2,000 years the Miami area was inhabited by the Tequesta Native American tribe, who are thought to have expatriated to Cuba circa the mid-1700s. The first Europeans to control the area were the Spanish and British, the former ceding it to the United States in 1821. Fort Dallas was built by the United States along the Miami River and was used during the Second Seminole War. Julia Tuttle, a wealthy, local citrus grower, is credited with the founding of Miami, making her the only woman to have founded a major US city. Miami experienced a land-boom during the 1920s, but the subsequent 1926 Miami Hurricane and Great Depression stymied growth. It wasn’t until the 1940s that Miami experienced a significant revival, which inspired the city’s nickname.
Miami today has a population of around 500,000 people, while the surrounding metropolitan area is home to over 6 million. USA’s second-highest Spanish-speaking city behind El Paso, Miami stands near Florida’s southern tip. Bordering Miami are the Everglades to the west and Biscayne Bay to the east. The Port of Miami, known as the “Cruise Capital of the World”, tallies 4.33 million passengers annually, while annual cargo tonnage equates to 7.42 million. Split into different sections, Miami consists of Coral Way, The Roads and Coconut Grove to the south, Little Havana, West Flagler and Flagami to the west and Midtown to the north. The heart of Miami, known as Downtown Miami, is the place for daytime shopping. Home to the United States’ third tallest skyline, Miami boasts more than 300 high rise buildings, with at least 80 properties standing at over 400 feet. Major points of interest include Downtown, Freedom Tower, Villa Vizcaya, Miami Tower, Virginia Key Beach, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, FTX Arena, PortMiami, Miami Beach, South Beach and Hard Rock Stadium. Popular foods include stone crabs, a variety of seafoods, fish sandwiches, arepas, churros, Cuban sandwiches, fritas, empanadas and key lime pie. Popular drinks involve various frozen drinks such as Daiquiris and Piña Coladas and of course the Miami Vice, which is made with pineapple juice, coconut, strawberries and rum. Now that we have a little background information on the area, it’s time for hotels in Miami that will help provide for a magical experience.

Hello, I really appreciate your time and effort on writing about these penthouse rentals in Miami.
All these beautiful condos look so perfect. All of them look ultra modern and some even futuristic. I especially love the Miami Icon Penthouse because I like all the white colors and having lots of sunlight shine through the floor to ceiling windows. I’m having a lot of fun looking through all these beautiful condos and their brilliant designs. Thanks for the article.
Thank you Son! Glad you appreciate the article and found a specific interest. Happy travels to you 🙂
This website is the bomb. Your website is very interesting and it can gather traffic from many people. The navigation on your website is easy to get analyse and the way you used the beautiufl images is an excellent choice.
The content is engaging and intriguing. Good JOB! Awesome post. Thank you for the value and I can’t wait to check it out again later.
Thank you for your kind comments Isaac! Hope to see you back soon 🙂
Lovely bright website with excellent graphics.
I think it would be easier to read the content with shorter sentences and more spacing between each sentence.
I have been using yoast to help with sentences and they show better ways to make your site easier to read with their reading analysis.
This was my reading analysis on my website from Yoast:
Subheading distribution: You are not using any subheadings, although your text is rather long. Try and add some subheadings.
Transition words: Only 12.2% of the sentences contain transition words, which is not enough. Use more of them.
Good results (5)
Flesch Reading Ease: The copy scores 66.8 in the test, which is considered ok to read. Good job!
Passive voice: You’re using enough active voice. That’s great!
Consecutive sentences: There is enough variety in your sentences. That’s great!
Paragraph length: None of the paragraphs are too long. Great job!
Sentence length: Great!
This could help you and make your website easier to read.
Hi Sylvia and thank you for the recommendations! Best wishes to you.
These are some nice recommendations for penthouses in miami in case I want to vacation back to Florida soon. I think that Brickell avenue looks the coolest while most of them look really nice I would probably prefer that one. Which one of these do you think has the most value and why do you prefer it overall?
Hello Jon and thank you for the comments. Glad you like the Brickell Avenue penthouse. Miami Icon, Eurostars Langford and The W are all great choices.
All of these places are amazing. If I had to choose only one to stay at, I think it would be The W. Even the area looks so nice and the views look amazing. It doesn’t look too far from good attractions either.
Which one is your favorite out of all of these? Great list of penthouses though!
Hi Nate and thank you! The W is definitely one of the better choices when it comes to Miami so we would tend to agree. Happy travels!
Hello,
Lovely post about Miami and the penthouses available for rent. I have not been to Miami but have friends who have. I will let them know about your site.
Very pretty listings you are showing on your website. I especially love the one on 121 Southeast 1st street!
When I or someone I know wants to rent one or learn more how do we go about contacting you?
Jody
Hi Jody and thank you for the reference! Thank you for pointing out your favorite as well. Contact can be found in the privacy page at this time. Best wishes to you 🙂
The Penthouse is always the way to go. I hate people over my head, and I love the rooftop terraces that many of the penthouses offer for that private outdoor space. Miami is such a happening, lively, alive and beautiful place. Thanks for sharing these penthouses. They are gorgeous. So many wonderful choices.
Thank you Babsie! You belong in a penthouse 😎

This post is exactly what my friend needs and I’m going to send it to him because of next week he is travel Miami. In previous, I read your article those ware superb. My friend is really helped by your article. I know that Miami is a wonderful place. In my lifetime I want to travel there. When I travel there I must stay in that hotel which is you mention in your article. I like all of your suggestions and I hope my friend also likes all of them and the choice which one he stays at this time.
Now I am a fan of your article because your articles are so informative. I want that type of website has enough information on the topic. And also today’s article is helping me and my friend.
Thank you so much.
Miami is a great travel destination Khobayer. Thank you again for the comments and best wishes to you.
The last time I went to Miami was a long time ago that was many years ago but what I did not know was that the Miami had these kinds of upscale place I believe because nowadays persons, for the most part, travels beyond this place but the good news is if I am ever in Miami I can look up, one of these places. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome Norman. Glad to see you back and happy travels.
Miami is such a vibrant place with plenty going on and I have been there a few times but always booked into a hotel. I had no idea there was an option to rent a penthouse out, that would have been so much better for myself and the people I went with.
I can really see myself staying in the Eurostars Langford on 121 Southeast 1st Street, it looks amazing and the parties you can have there would be unreal!
I would like to take a look at your website again before I go to Miami again but is there a minimum timeframe you have to rent the penthouses out for or can you do it on a weekly basis?
Very glad to hear that you found a favorite in Eurostars Langford Matthew. Assuming it’s available there should not be a minimum and stay as long as you wish!
I have a cousin who lives in Fort Myers and every now and again, he’ll take a vacation to Miami, usually when one of his friends shows up from another area in the US. I wonder if he’s rented out any of these penthouses in the past, especially those that are close in proximity to South Beach. If he hasn’t done so yet, it’s only a matter of time before I see him posting something on IG about Brickwell Avenue or North Bayshore Drive.
Todd thank you for the comments. These are both fine locations and you wouldn’t go wrong in this area.
Hello,
It’s not easy to shop for a penthouse in a foreign city, so thanks for helping out here.
I’ve stayed once near the one on Biscayne Boulevard. Great location! A really nice selection of restaurants and lounges.
I guess I was looking for a place to stay for one night near the port, because I’d be catching a cruise the next day.
Cheers, Phil
Hi Phil. Great to hear that you enjoy Biscayne Blvd. and that you are headed on a cruise. Happy travels!
485 Brickell Avenue is where I want to be!. This site is so informative and packed with some good information. I can tell you really did your research on this one. I have never experienced a penthouse apartment stay or any luxurious stay for that matter. I am really excited that it’s pretty affordable to as well. Definitely going to save this website to my favorites. Thanks for the information :).
Thank you so much Viviana! Miami Icon at 485 Brickell is for sure a solid option. It’s nice to see you and happy journeys out there 🙂
These penthouses looks amazing really! Me and my wife want to go to Miami, but as you know, finding something affordable is hard to find. And I’m afraid this is to expensive as well for us. I will consider it with my wife, I hope we can find a solution.
Thank you Emmanuel! Best luck in finding a solution and please stop back anytime once you find one.
Hello; it is the third post that I read from your face; you can not fail to see that you have done extensive research to present them and to support those who do tourism. This time in Miami. It is great to recommend the best locations, what to offer and what to visit nearby so that the tourist does not waste too much time to find what they are looking for.
best regards
Carmen
Thank you again Carmen! The posts are good references to have on a trip as they provide the very best not only in accommodation but also nearby attractions.
This is great, I always wanted to go to the Miami even when I was a child, it is truly a great city and I recommend everyone to visit it even once, it is worth it. I was at 485 Brickell Avenue 2 years ago and it was marvelous. Honestly, it is not expensive compared to what you get with it. I plan to go there again next year with my family.
Glad to hear your trip to 485 Brickell was marvelous and enjoy next year’s as well!
Miami is definitely a city where a penthouse makes a lot of sense. Most are close to some kind of action, and they really allow you to have a good time when visiting the place. I have stayed there many times and paid a good price for a premium hotel.
Looking at the prices, it is clear to me that I have been neglectful in not checking out the penthouse prices, as they are not that much higher than an upgraded room I stay in most of the time, and the location, luxury, and space is so much better in a penthouse.
Your website is one of my favorite places to stop by at. As I plan my travel and stays, I can count on you to have the lastest in penthouses and also things to do that are within close range of the penthouses. A nice touch and one that keeps me coming back! Thanks…
Thank you so much for the kind words Dave and hope to see you back again soon 🙂
I’ve never been to Miami, but your post makes me want to go there. Penthouse accommodation seems really nice too. From the penthouse accommodation options you introduced on this post, my favorite is probably Sea View Penthouse. That´s because well, there is a sea view and I like the spacious and bright room in the picture.
By the way, you have an interesting and unique niche website. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much Kirsti! You would have a great time in Miami no doubt 🙂
Miami is a place to be! Even a week getaway is sure gonna be exciting, vibrant and crazy. You have given a wide array of penthouse recommendation that is good and budget friendly. I mean not everything should be necessarily cheap. Comfort is still the top factor to consider for a vacay. I would prefer YVE Hotel Miami for the reason that it’s close to Asian community stores and yes, tattoo shop! Who would’ve known what our family might need right? Anyways, the cost is actually affordable considering the convenience of a hotel. Eurostars Langford however seems to offer a genuine Miami vibe which is what a tourist would really come for. Thanks for sharing this!
Hi MissusB you are spot-on! Paris is a nice choice especially because you can find luxury no matter what the budget is 🙂
Hi! Due to my constant traveling I’m always visiting your site. Miami is one of my favorite destinations and I wanted to see which options you had listed on your site. I’m getting to the point were I don’t travel without previously checking your site concerning the location where I’m going.
From these options listed here, I believe YVE Hotel Miami is my best option. Once again, thank you very much!
You’re welcome Henry and it’s nice to see you again!
OOOHH!!! That’s beautlful pentihouses, but the cost per night is pretty high. I’m sure that most people can afford to stay there for only party or meeting. The problem is hurricance season. Your details about penithouse or apt. is fanastic. You did good job at descriptions which penithouse with cost per night and how many people per penihouses. Enjoy!!!
Thank you for the comments Carolyn. Happy travels!
Thank you for your post. It is a timely article for me. My family of four registered for a Christmas cruise start and end at Miami. We need to stay at Miamin for few day before we start our cruise.
Here comes your article. I like the Club Penthouse #4322, which has a fitness center and water sports facilities. These two things we plan to do. Besides we would like to spend some time on the beaches. Is it close to Miami beach?
I see there are two price cost per night and cost per person. I would like to use the cost per person one, which is slightly cheap. Is this fine?I
It is kind of you sharing this helpful information with us.
Anthony that it totally fine. Glad you are enjoying the site!
Miami is a great holiday venue,it has a hot climate, just great for the beach, swimming ,snorkeling ,and beautiful sea views,to help you to relax, unwind, and get away from the city.
These amazing penthouses, have great luxury accommodation, for all that you could want, and the restaurants, hair salons, stores, and pharmacies, have all the amenities near at hand for your eating out,and enjoyment.
The club penthouse has a fitness center and water sports facilities, each unit has a well equipped kitchen,an outdoor pool, and a terrace.the cost per person is $116.00 ( for a party of six persons) per night.
The YVE Hotel Miami has a 24 hour fitness center, and meeting facilities, rooms have a safe, work desk, and flat screen TV.the cost is $263.00 per night.
These are a couple of samples of the apartments available in downtown Miami, for your next holiday
Robert glad to see that you pinpointed two and that the amenities are to your liking! Happy travels out there 🙂
Can’t wait to share this article with my boyfriend! He is from Miami and used to live in a nice high-rise condo. We’d been talking about going for a visit and want to stay in a similar kind of place for memories’ sake. A high-rise penthouse on the water would be a dream! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Katie thanks for sharing and hope you and your boyfriend get to experience Miami from above!
Hi
Great post. I have never been to a penthouse, and have only seen Miami on the television. These penthouses look amazing. I would like to take my wife to a penthouse at some stage and always thought that Miami is the perfect location. It is quite expensive as I would have to convert from South African rand to dollar, but I am convinced it will be worth the wait. Brickell City Centre will be number one on my list to go to.
Martin worth the wait for sure. Thanks for the comments from across the pond and hope you get to see Miami really soon!
I really like your website. While I didn’t get to look at everything on it what I did look at was very impressive. Your write-ups of the various hotels were extensive and very well done. Your inclusion of pictures was also impressive. I thought that the way you have listed the hotels by country/state was also very well done. This website will be a go to website for a lot of people looking for a place to stay while on vacation and another tool for vacation planners. All in all I give it a 9 out of 10 rating for locating a hotel. Your inclusion of the address also was a good idea but a phone number could have been added for booking. A very good website in my opinion.
Thank you Johnny!
Holy crap! I was not expecting to find an article like this one that actually went into the in-depth detail of multiple hotels. I really thought I was going to have to look into each hotel individually on the website but from the looks of this website I have found everything I need in one single spot and I appreciate that
I’m always glad to come to visit your website to learn more about amazing places to visit, thanks so much for taking the time to write a great article to read about Miami and where to find the best penthouse rentals in Miami. I always thought about Miami as a nice place to visit oneday, but I never took the time to learn more about this city, so I tahnk you for sharing great information about the eary times of this city. You always share accurate information about some amazing places to stay, all of them look great and when I take a look to the prices, well you do a great job, some are really a good deal!
At the right time, I have these beautiful stories of your beautiful places and their beauty. Holidays are approaching, it would be great to visit Miami. This ocean color is so appealing. On the other hand, there are beautiful hotels surrounding it. Thank you for the interesting things you’ve shared with us about this magical city. I particularly like rooms with ocean views. I suppose it feels wonderful to be able to visit this beautiful city.
